Westport P.A.L. Rink at Longshore

The W.P.A.L Rink at Longshore has been in exsistance since 1997. When it was 1st opened it was located in the parking lot infront of Splash Restaurant. Without the generous funding of The Decaro Foundation the rink would never have happend. It's 1st year the Rink was 100'x60' . The following year it was expanded to 125'x75' . It remained in the parking lot for one more year. In year 4 it was moved down to the Tenis courts . It was expanded again in year 5 to 140'x75' . It stayed that size until last season when new boards ,glass and cooling mats where purchased. Unfotunately the exsisting chiller was not large enough to handle the full dimentions of the new boards, so only 155' X85' of the boards where used . The W.P.A.L Rink @ Longshore is very pleased to announce the purchase of a new Chiller unit that will allow us to use the remain 45' feet of the boards . Thus making it a full size Rink. We also will be expanding our season 2 weeks through to mid March. We are also pleased to announce a major overhaul of our skate inventory with the purchase of 250 new rental skates.
